These days, many children were happy to get presents, which will support their educational career. All students and pupils received a package with school materials and a schoolbag. The girls further received washable sanitary towels, which will allow them to visit school also during their menstruation. Unfortunately  many young women still stay at home during their period instead of attending classes, because of shame or lack of money to buy sanitary towels. With the project Sanitary Towels we want to counteract the economical barrier and make education better accessible for girls. Furthermore, we organise events in communities to fight the stigmatisation of women and encourage their empowerment.
